Home Buyers Want Single-Family Homes in Jupiter
Remember when the news broke last year that homebuilder Otto “Buz” DiVosta purchased the last piece of prime, undeveloped land around Jupiter known as Parcel 19? Located at the northwest corner of Indiantown Road and Florida’s Turnpike, Parcel 19 is a 300 acre section of land with endless development possibilites and was purchased from WCI Communities, Inc. for an incredibly low $6 million. At the time of purchase, it was still unclear what DiVosta’s plan was for Parcel 19, but it appears now that new construction single-family homes may be the answer.
As Alexandra Clough pointed out in a recent article from the Palm Beach Post, some housing communities in Jupiter, such as The Bridges which has homes selling for an average of $700,000, are thriving and that many home buyers in the area still want new construction homes as opposed to foreclosures for sale in Jupiter.
It appears now that both Divostra and Nader Salour, the developer behind Abacoa master plan in Jupiter, have something in the works for Parcel 19, and new construction single-family homes seem to be the current idea. Although details are still unclear, it’s no secret that today’s home buyers in Jupiter want new, detached housing. And in a location that’s close to two of Jupiter’s main thoroughfares, there’s no doubt that the convenience of easy transportation and commuting will also be a key selling point to homebuyers considering a home there, should something get developed.
