Parks & Outdoor Spaces in Jupiter, FL

Jupiter Parks & Outdoor Spaces When it comes to South Florida, outdoor recreational options are key.  It’s no surprise, then, that you’ll find plenty of options to keep you entertained.  Jupiter has plenty of outdoor spaces to choose from, filled with everything to fit your needs.

For swimming, fishing and more, head out to Jupiter Beach Park.  If you’d rather paddle a canoe for the day, Riverbend Park is the place to be.  With extensive trails, plus plenty of wildlife to see along the way, there really is no better place to get back to nature.  You can also take a ride on two wheels, or even on horseback.  In addition, Carlin Park provides a one-and-a-half mile trail with heart stations located along the way.

As with Carlin Park, you’ll also find beaches at DuBois Park and Jupiter Beach.  With white sand and turquoise blue water, you won’t ever want to leave once you step foot on one of the area’s incredible locations.

For organized sports and recreation, head to South Jupiter Community Park.  The park is filled with a number of basketball and racquetball courts, as well as tennis courts and even a skate park.  There are also two lighted hockey rinks and a playground, spread across 24 acres.

Get back to nature at Eco Island Playground, located within Indian Creek Park.  This playground is uniquely constructed of recycled aluminum and plastic.  It includes tube slides, rock climbing, swings and netting.

If your kids are more of the four-legged kind, head out to F.I.N.D. Park.  This location offers a dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs, plus a kayak/canoe launch, volleyball courts, a jogging trail, and more.

If you want the chance to view wildlife in a controlled setting, head to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.  This incredible location is perfect for families, with native birds, Florida panthers and black bears available for viewing.  It’s not large, but the location is a great opportunity to see and experience animals up close.  If you want to know more about native plant life, there’s always the Robert J Huckshorn Arboretum, located off Parkside Drive.

If you truly want to get back to nature though, and away from the crowds, don’t miss the seclusion of Limestone Creek Natural Area.  There are few amenities here, but it is a peaceful place to collect your thoughts, while taking a short walk or bike ride through the woods.
