EVENTS: Northwood Mango & Music Fest Going On This Weekend in West Palm Beach
If you’re over in West Palm Beach this weekend getting a glimpse of the cool new interactive light installation known as The Pool, don’t forget that the Northwood Mango & Music Festival is also happening on June 26th and 27th, making it one of the more fun-filled weekends of the entire summer.
A family-oriented celebration of mangoes, music, and the area’s authentic cultural heritage, the Northwood Mango & Music Fest is a two-day celebration that brings together some of the region’s best chefs, musicians, and other local merchants, which allow visitors to try some mouth-watering mango-infused recipes, listen to some great live music in the village, and just enjoy being outside during the hot South Florida summer.
Local bands that will be on-hand for this year’s Northwood Mango & Music Fest include Mixed Culture, Moska Project, and Jimmy Stowe and the Stowaways, while chefs from O-BO, Table 427, and Bisto Bistro will be committed to serving up some of the best summertime eats you’ll have all season.
Given Northwood Village’s rich history of mango cultivation, not to mention the incredible amount of mango tress found all throughout the neighborhood, this is definitely one of West Palm Beach’s more unique summer festivals of the year and definitely worth checking out, even if you have to come in from out of town.
The 2015 Northwood Mango & Music Fest will be on Friday June 26th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday June 27th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
