Mini-Golf Course Proposed For Abacoa
Recognizing a shortage of fun-filled family entertainment around north Palm Beach County, developers are reportedly tossing around the idea of building a miniature golf course inside Abacoa—Jupiter’s incredible 2,055-acre mixed-use master plan.
Hoping to bring more daytime traffic to the area, FLD ATC LLC purchased 93,000 square feet of commercial property in Abacoa, along with nearly 3 acres of vacant land that could be used for the course.
If approved by the town council, the plan calls for spending around $500,000 to build the 18-hole mini-golf course, which could be open as early as next year.
According to reports, some local businesses have seen a slow down in the area with new restaurants opening along PGA Boulevard and Donald Ross Road, as well as the improvements made over at Downtown at the Gardens.
Additional amenities and attractions, like a mini-golf course, could bring more customers to Abacoa, especially on days where nothing is happening at Roger Dean Stadium.
As of now, preliminary plans have been submitted to the town, but no pubic hearing dates have been set.
