NuVista Institute for Healthy Living Breaking Ground Today
A multi-million dollar health facility is one step closer to becoming reality in Jupiter. The NuVista Institute for Healthy Living just broke ground on its new development, located along Military Trail. Found just to the north of Donald Ross Road, the nearly nine-and-a-half acre property is located on the eastern side of South Central Boulevard as the road curves from the entrance of Donald Ross Road into the round-about.
The $70 million project will eventually house 225,000 square feet of space dedicated to providing healthcare in South Florida. The project includes 70 assisted living apartments, a physical therapy center with 129 beds, and a large amount of space for medical offices and clinical research as well as a memory care center with room for 30 patients suffering from brain disorders.
The entire project is a partnership between NuVista, based in Palm Beach Gardens, and the nonprofit Jupiter Medical Center. Scripps Research Institute, located nearby, will also be a research partner in the facility. The idea is to bring long-term and short-term senior living to Jupiter while also giving scientists the opportunity to make future discoveries related to the health field, all in Palm Beach County.
American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust of New York is leasing out the land. The trust originally purchased the land in August for $10 million. Current nearby facilities to the Abacoa neighborhood project include a Max Plant Society research center, a spring training complex for baseball, a town center and Florida Atlantic University.
