Things to Do in Jupiter, FL in June

With Memorial Day Weekend officially behind us and the beginning of June right around the corner, it’s time to look ahead to June and all the wonderful events and community happenings going on all month long. The last day of school is also upcoming on June 5th for Palm Beach County Schools, so If you’re looking for something for both you or the kids to do next month, here’s a list of June events taking place in or around the Jupiter area:
 
Monday June 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
Twilight Yoga at the Light at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum
 
A favorite event among our local fitness nuts, Twilight Yoga at the Light is an awesome way to experience both the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Deck at sunset and also the tranquility of outdoor yoga on Jupiter’s waterfront. As an all-levels session, yoga beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend!
 
Friday June 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Lighthouse Sunset Tour at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum
 
A visit to the lighthouse is always a good time, even if you’ve already been. Along with taking in the spectacular sunset views from Jupiter’s most recognizable landmark, the tour is also a great way to learn about the inner-workings of operating a lighthouse. Lighthouse tours are about 75 minutes long and children must be at least 48” tall in order to climb to the top of the lighthouse tower.
 
Saturday June 7th at 4:00 p.m.
Classic Car Cruise-In at Abacoa Town Center
 
Starting in June and running on the first Saturday of every month is a new and improved car show that will feature live entertainment and some of the hottest rides in town. Dining and drink specials will be available to participants and onlookers and the show welcomes cars of all makes and models!
 
Saturday June 7th at 7 p.m.
97.9 WRMF Presents O.A.R at the Maltz Theatre
 
One of the hottest shows in Jupiter all summer, O.A.R. will perform an intimate acoustic trio featuring opening band The People Upstairs. Tickets for the concert are $45 for orchestra and mezzanine seats, $65 for club level seats which also include a pre-show meet-and-greet. All tickets include a taste/sampling fair from local restaurants in the lobby.
 
Friday June 13th at 8:00 p.m.
Lighthouse Moonrise Tours at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum
 
If you can’t make the sunset tour earlier in the month, here’s your solution. Take in views of a full moon from atop the tower while also taking a tour through Jupiter’s most famed landmark! As mentioned above, Lighthouse tours last around 75 minutes and children must be at least 48” to climb the tower.
 
Saturday June 21st at 7:00 a.m.
Run 4 the Sea at Loggerhead Marinelife Center
2014 marks the 3rd year for the Run 4 the Sea event, which celebrates ocean conservation and endangered sea turtles. A fun 1-mile run for kids and a 4-mile run for adults, this is an awesome way to get in some exercise on the oceanfront while also supporting a great cause! In addition to the run, there will also be a post-race celebration with music and breakfast. Registration starts at 6:15 a.m.
