April 2015 Events Around Palm Beach
When it comes to Palm Beach there’s plenty to do every month of the year, and the month of April is no exception. From live music on the waterfront to getting your home garden ready for spring and summer, we run down the list of the April must dos for Palm Beach County.
The Norton Museum of Art
Starting the first week of April, you have your choice of several selections in the art and music world.The Norton Museum of Art hosts four film screenings during the month. The first showing is April 2 with “Edward Scissorhands”, followed by the April 9 showing of “A Hole in the Head”, “Body Heat” on April 16 and “Matinee” on April 23. The Kravis Center
Also starting in early April, the Kravis Center opens its doors to a variety of shows including dog trainer Cesar Millan on April 1st, Diana Krall on April 6th, comedian Kathy Griffin on April 24th, as well as “Menopause the Musical” running April 1-19. Keeping with the trend, catch the one-and-only Jimmy Buffett at Cruzan Amphitheatre on April 9. Relax your troubles away with his iconic mix of island-style music that is sure to have you thinking of some fun in the sun.
Delray Affair

Palm Beach Zoo
Around the same time, head out to the Palm Beach Zoo on April 11 for Brew at the Zoo. You’ll have the opportunity to sample craft beer from a couple of dozen breweries, including many choices from the State of Florida. Visit the Palm Beach Zoo here
Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction

Black Gold Jubilee
Take advantage of the spring weather by getting in a little exercise, and having some fun too, at the annual Black Gold Jubilee. Held at the Torry Island Rec Center, the April 18 festival kicks off with a 5K run/walk early in the morning, then develops into an art show, volleyball tournament, rides and even fireworks at night. Hatsume Fair
If you’ve been dreaming of spring for months, make sure you don’t miss the Hatsume Fair. This event honors the first bud of spring, and runs April 18-19. Held at the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens, you can expect to find martial arts demos, a costume contest, taiko drumming and food vendors at this Delray Beach staple. Mounts Botanical Garden

SunFest
The month of April winds down with the infamous SunFest, a waterfront music festival that stretches the last couple of days of the month, through May 3.
