However, small or large, there are plenty of home renovations that can improve one's quality of experience in the home while also boosting that home's intrinsic value.

Recently, John Lennon's former home on Palm Beach Island recently sold for $23 million in an off-market deal.

The home was designed in 1919 by the famous architect Addison Mizner. The sellers of the property were Alan and Christine Curtis, who had originally purchased the home for $4.3 million in 1990. The house sits at 720 South Ocean Blvd and is nicknamed "El Solano"

This Mediterranean estate boasts at least five bedrooms, a tennis court, a cabana building on the beach, and a bridge that connects the home to its former guest house, which was deeded to the original builder's neighbor at an earlier point in time.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono originally purchased the mansion for $725,000 in 1980. Upon John's death, Ono decided to renovate the home

Smart homes are still in their learning phase, and currently the tech world is rushing to provide home owners with devices that are internet connected. For the tech world, homes have the greatest potential for technology to have a long lasting effect and there are certainly no shortage of startups and companies trying to innovate new ideas for the home technology space.

However, as of right now there are only a handful of devices that actually work well in the home, and there are even fewer devices that provide home owners with more convenience, rather than frustration. It's hard for many to justify these smart devices as "essential" household items, but if you're an individual whom has a forward thinking approach to technology and some cash, there

As of December of 2015, home –building has started to slip unexpectedly, with declines in both single-family homes and apartment construction. Housing starts, which reflect all of the groundbreakings on single-family homes, have fallen 2.5% nationally. Building permits, which typically are an indication of future building activity, have fallen 3.9%. Economists have expressed great surprise at the weak housing starts data, especially because the exceptionally warm weather this year had been expected to boost building activity in the new year.

Last year, new housing construction had its best year since 2007, when the housing bubble burst and triggered a recession. Economists were hoping that this linear growth would continue into the new year,

On Wednesday December 16, 2015, The Federal Reserve increased the interest rate by twenty-five basis points (or 0.25%), from zero basis points (or 0%). This interest rate hike has created some concern that it could impact real estate markets as capitalization rates sometimes correlate with these interest rate increases. However, analysts feel confident that real estate markets will experience very little, if any drawback from such small a increase in rates.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Chief Economist at Moody’s Analytics, Mark Zandi has stated “There should be minimal impact on the rate for a 30-year fixed-rate loan because such rates are tied to long-term Treasury yields, which have already discounted a Fed rate hike”. Most
