October is here and that means fall festivals all around and a much welcome break in the warm temperatures. This month was extra hard to pick our favorite events because there is so much to do around town. Enjoy exploring all of these activities.

Food trucks aren’t just the latest trend in local eateries- they are also a fun addition to any event, be it a private birthday party or a large, local gathering. Many food trucks can be seen at various events in South Florida, especially in Palm Beach County, and many have vast social media and network followings. Free events are held continuously throughout the month featuring these meals-on-wheels, including Abacoa’s Food Truck Invasion on the second Friday of the month, and Carlin Park’s Food Truck Invasions in Jupiter,FL the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Attendees are exposed to all types of food- including burgers, ice cream, and even donuts. Whatever you’re in the mood for, chances are there’s a food truck to fit your desires.

Jupiter Farmer's Market at Harbourside Place

With all the events, social and family gatherings, and various other obligations that typically coincide with the holiday season, you might have missed the grand opening of the new Jupiter’s Farmers Market at Harbourside Place, which happened back in early December.

It's Here!  The South Florida Fair is in town this weekend and lasts until February 1st.  I can already smell the delightful scent of fair food sweets and hear the sound of live music playing in my ears.  The fair always brings back wonderful childhood memories.  Opening day is TODAY, so what are you waiting for, go fill up on candy apples, funnel cake, cotton candy and all the other tasty treats that the fair offers!  Hop from one ride to the next with the ride wristband, believe me you are going to want to ride them all or at least the kids will!

This Saturday go back in time at Abacoa Town Center's Classic Car Cruise Event.  This event happens every first Saturday of each month and features show stopping cars of all makes and models and live entertainment.  This Saturday enjoy the sounds of The Driftwoods band.  Go hungry and stop by one of the many tasty restaurants for dinner and drink specials.  This event starts at 4PM.

The Nutcracker

This Saturday is the opening day of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker presented by the Miami City Ballet.  This holiday classic will be performed every night starting Saturday the 27th through Tuesday the 30th at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

It is the last weekend before Christmas!  Some of us have family coming into town and if you are looking for some festive things to do while they are visiting we may have some suggestions for some great South Florida happenings.

Holiday Under the Stars

The new Harbourside Place in Jupiter is having a fun event with holiday music from The Young Singers of Palm Beach and ballroom dancers from Paramount Ballroom will be there to perform beautiful dance routines.

Feeding South Florida will have a table there and are asking for locals to help support them and make others holidays extra special in ending hunger in South Florida.  Stop by for a chance to win a 1 carat diamond, valued at $5,000, courtesy of Shamrock Jewelers!  The event is from 4 to 6pm.
