Jupiter the 29th Best City For Young Families in Florida
While Florida in general has a widespread reputation for being a top retirement destination, many parts of our great state are more animated and youthful than you might think, especially here in the Palm Beach area.
Earlier this month, NerdWallet—a national personal finance information service—took a closer look at some of the best cities in Florida for younger families to plant their roots, and although many of us who already call Jupiter home know it’s a great place to raise kids, now we can say it with even more confidence than before.
According to the study, Jupiter ranked as the 29th best city in Florida for young families to live, well ahead of other nearby communities like Palm Beach Gardens (80th), Riviera Beach (114th), and North Palm Beach (141st), which of course all still made the list.
NerdWallest’s rankings took four major factors into consideration when coming up with the results, which include home affordability, growth and prosperity, family friendliness, and educational quality. Data figures were taken from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2013 American Community Survey, while GreatSchools.org gives Jupiter schools and average rating of 9 out of 10.
