Play Ball! The 2015 Spring Training Schedule in Jupiter FL
Although the month of March might often be associated with the madness of the NCAA college basketball tournament, there’s certainly much more going on in the sports than just basketball. Major League Baseball also kicks off its Spring Training season in late-February and early March, and there’s no better place to catch all the action than right here in South Florida.
In Jupiter, we’re lucky enough to welcome two MLB teams to the area during Spring Training—the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins—and regardless of whether or not you’re a baseball fan, there’s nothing quite like the combination of the warm Florida sunshine and some great early season baseball, especially if you’re just visiting from somewhere up north.
The Cardinals have called Jupiter their Spring Training home since 1998, while the Marlins made the move over here back in 2003. Both clubs play over at Roger Dean Stadium, which is right across the street from the beautiful Abacoa Town Center.
If you plan on visiting the Jupiter area this year and hope to catch a game, take I-95 to Exit 83 (Donad Ross Road). From there, head east for about a half mile, turn left on Parkside Drive, then take a right on University Boulevard and the stadium is just a few hundred yards away.
